MUMBAI: Music venue blueFROG has teamed up with Sonologue, the online audio content and production house to launch podcast – Live From the blueFROG. The series would be hosted by Chhavi Sachdev and produced by Sonologue.

The association, that stakes claim to being India’s first artist interview series, ‘Live From the blueFROG’, would entail a series of interviews on musicians talking about their musical journey. Each podcast has two components: an audio interview of musicians about their musical journey and an exclusive live track from the blueFROG archives.

The first episode featuring Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj of the Midival Punditz was out last week. “The podcast would be uploaded every fortnight and the artists lined up include Karsh Kale, Shaair + Func, Oliver Rajamani to name a few. The podcast will also include international artists who perform at Blue Frog.”

The podcast including the interview and exclusive acoustic track by the artists is available for free download on both the websites. “We are not looking at monetisation at the moment as the concept of podcast is still novel in India. Advertising can be embedded in the audio and on the website but the podcasts would be available for free as we don’t want to charge the listeners.”

“The awareness for the blueFROG podcast is higher in the international markets, so we would be concentrating on promoting it in Indian markets. The first leg would include targeting social networking sites. blueFROG plans to let the audiences pick their artist to be interviewed for the podcast.”
