This was done for Radio Netherlands’ Newsline show - they wanted to profile a hot spot that spoke about the people of the city rather than just what was trendy.
Leopold Cafe made sense because it’s had two resurgences despite being the oldest standing bar in Mumbai - once when it was featured in the book Shantaram, and again, last where, when terrorists opened fire here. It has become an enduring emblem of Mumbai’s spirit.
